Nina the Phoenix Girl

A new OC I had to create for Uni this week on Thursday c: 
Our task was to create a character based on a song and create a backstory and everything for them...and this is the result :3 

Story time!

Nina was originally an old woman who lived in a village who has a lively,determined, passionate and curious personality. She loved the idea of exploring the world and learning more about what's out there. Although with her being an old lady, she probably didn't have much time left to live due to her age and she wasn't willing to leave the world too soon when she wants to discover more about the world and live life to the full.

She makes the decision of searching for an entity she heard in a legend told around her village of a creature known as a "Phoenix". The villagers have come up with numerous theories of what the Phoenix can do if u come across to it so there were no known facts.
She searched through the lands and the mountains and eventually found the famous Phoenix. 

They create a special bond between each other as the Phoenix saw some sort of powerful magic in her that made her stand out from everyone in its eyes. Considering that Phoenixes don't normally hang around humans unless they feel something within them, Nina was something special.

Eventually Nina is given the choice of being "reborn" by the Phoenix for her to become young again so she can experience life more and turns from ugly and old to a young and beautiful young lady. She then became a phoenix!


I definitely wanna develop this character more as I love her design and I think the story could become interesting :3
There's definitely some things I wanna fix within the story but I will get back to that eventually
If u guys have any suggestions of what I could do to improve it, let me know! I would greatly appreciate it
Sure hope this doesn't sound lame in any way x'D Im not that great at creating stories and Im only starting to improve on creating characters

Was also inspired by phoenixes in general and in the Rainbow Rocks music vid "My past is not Today" with Sunset Shimmer and how fire can sometimes mean a burning passion. And considering I'm an Aries I thought about how my element is fire xD
